2017 Fall Bucket List

We are weeks into fall which can only mean one thing. The time for falling leaves and changing temps are officially upon us and I couldn't be more excited! Whether you are a fan of attending costume parties and tailgating all Saturday long, there is something about fall that makes it favorite to each of us! To help you celebrate I have listed out my bucket list of fall activities that will have you enjoying everything that this autumn has to offer. 

1. Decorate for fall 

There is no better way to get into the spirit than to decorating for fall, and I am talking about more than just a few simple pumpkins. Create your own wreaths or find the perfect centerpiece. Get creative this year! 

2. Go to a pumpkin patch

Pumpkin patches are the reason I live for fall! There is nothing better than taking candid pictures in the fields of endless pumpkins, and drink that legendary apple cider, and of course eating pumpkin flavored donuts. 

3. Watch a classic / seasonal movie

Wanting magical powers is pretty much a right of passage in every childhood! It's also the reason why Halloween movies like Hocus Pocus and Halloweentown have such a special place in each of our hearts. I can't think of a better way to celebrate the season than to grab a heated blanket, a bag of popcorn and binch watch all these classics. 

4. Burn cozy candles

There are certain things I will always cherish as simple pleasures, and one of those things is the way I feel when I walk into a room that smells good! Shouldn't we feel that more often? I'm just going to go ahead and say yes! Burning your favorite fall scented candle is a fool proof way to enjoy the season. 

5. Make a cozy fall recipe 

Ah, fall means that soups are back. There is something truly comforting about enjoying a bowl of warm soup on a cold raining day! What soup is your favorite??

I always look forward to summer. Not only for the warmer weather, sunny getaways, and ice cold margaritas, but also for summer styles. I always get really excited to build and create my summer wardrobe in the spring. I don't know about you but there is just something about picking out new summer trends to try that just does my heart some good! 

This summer I have been all about wrap dresses, and this yellow maxi wrap has become a closet favorite. The feminine silhouette and playful details makes this dress a trendy and fun statement piece. I am always looking for classic pieces with fun twist on them that I can wear all summer long!

The Summer Romper | Bailey Blue Clothing

When I think of a summer wardrobe I think of easy, light, fun, bright, and girly. This Bailey Blue Romper fits that to a T. 

As much as I love rompers I usually don't wear them that much because I have a hard time finding one that's flattering to my body. They just don't seem to look as cute on me as they do on every one else. However, I absolutely fell in love with this one! It's perfect for a dressy or casual occasion. Almost every time I wear a romper I wear them with some type of platform or wedge it helps to give your legs a little extra length. If you are looking for something a little higher I am obsessed with these!

1. Mules

I have said it once and I will say it again this is my absolute favorite trend this spring. I always get really excited in the winter months to see what new trend is going to hit the ground running in the warmer months. Last year it was the espadrille shoes, off shoulder tops and bell sleeves. This year mules are out to play! I have a black pair that I wear everyday from Forever 21, and I have a pink pair from H&M that I throw on whenever I want to spruce up a casual look. I  just got these in the mail and that bow just kills me! 😍

2. Flared Denim

Do you know when you buy and item and you don't know how much you love it until you LOVE IT?That is how I am with these jeans. I purchased them back in December and they sat in my closet for four months. Now I am making up for lost time because I wear them at least two days a week if not more. 🙈

4. Ferns

Okay, okay so this one is not a fashion trend but I have seen them all over the place and OMG I am obsessed. They make any front porch look so warm and inviting. I'm sure Joanna Gains has them hanging all over the outside of her house. Which is just another reason why I need them on my porch... Seriously just look here, here and here!

3.  Wrap dresses

This dress is a bit like any girls BFF they are reliable, comforting, and always bringing the best out in you. Not to mention it is effortlessly flattering.

5.Method Home

I just purchased this, this, this, and this a few days so I don't have much to say about it other that I am loving it.  I have never smelled anything so clean and refreshing. It smells as if I just dumped a whole bottom of essential oils on my bathroom floor. Also they are 100% cruelty free and planet friendly which is always a win in my book.  On their website it gives a step-by-step guide to everything that goes into their product and why it is good for the environment.

Trend to try: Overall Dress

Overalls have been making a come back in the fashion world for a few years now, and let me just say I was not a fan! I knew no matter how big the overall trend, I would not be on that ban wagon. Then I saw the overall dress trend and was like okay now that is something I can get behind! I have always loved the look of taking a more masculine piece and pairing it with a girlier piece. I am wearing a large in these Forever 21 overalls.

 I spent around 45 minutes in Forever 21 the other day trying on different style overalls and sizes. I kept having the problem of the bigger sizes being really big up top but the perfect length on me, and then the small sizes being perfect up top but really short on me (tall people probs).  I ended up sizing up with a large so it is a little boxy on me, but all in all it has a really great fit. I am already planning out all the ways in my head I can wear them this summer. I think they would be perfect up north on the lake styled with a black and white stripped v-neck!
