Boyfriend Jeans

Wednesday, December 30, 2015

I got this sweater three years ago as a birthday present and actually thought about donating it this past spring, but I am so glad I did not. When I put it on this winter I really loved the color and the way it fit. It's to short to wear with legging so I usually opt to just tucking it in with jeans. Lets just take a moment to talk about boyfriend jeans! If you do not own a pair keep looking because once you find the perfect pair it feels like you are wearing sweatpants. I own like 50 and I am always on the hunt for more idk what it is about them but they go with everything. Whenever I'm at work and people are on the hunt for boyfriend jeans I give them two tips. 1) If you feel like your normal size is to tight on you size up. They are suppose to give an over size look. 2) Make sure you are wearing them low enough on your waste.

Do you guys have any plans for New Years???? The past couple of years I have kept a pretty low profile I pretty much just order food and watch all of the new year round up type of shows. This year though is the MSU vs Bama football game so that's what i'll be doing this year. My dad's family  is from Alabama and the rest of my family either graduated for MSU or lives in Lansing so this game will be pretty interesting in my household.

Similar turtle neck (mine is sold out from Forever 21) // Love these boots they also come in black! // Similar sweater dress

This sweater shift dress is my new favorite thing. It's so soft and warm. I wore it yesterday when it was around 30 degrees outside and I was not that cold ha. I layered a striped turtle neck under the dress to add a mix of patterns and I think it gives it a fun look. I love wearing striped turtle necks under sweaters and certain dress. I recommend trying it out and see what you think.
Christmas is this week can you believe it? I'm ready to get this four day work week over with.

Have a great week and Merry Christmas!

Cape // Hunters
I don't know about you guys but Target is one of my favorite places on earth! I love their clothing so much. Within this past week I have bought this nightgown, this red sweater, and the cape I am wearing . I just think they have the cutest section of stuff. Normally I would pair this cape with riding boots or booties but because I was going to a Christmas farm I figured I should wear Hunter boots.

If any of you guys are in the Lansing area we went to the Peacock Tree Farm. They have the prettiest trees and really cool things for kids to do. Such as train rides to go see Santa and Mrs. Clause, a petting zoo (with horses, rabbits, cows etc..) and they also have a showing of Christmas movies it's the cutest place it looks like it came from a scene right out of a Christmas movie.

I hope everyone had a great weekend. I spend mine in Grand Haven. My birthday was Saturday so we went up Friday to celebrate. We ended up staying in the cutest bed and breakfast. I'll have more on that in a later blog post!

Leggings // similar blazer // sweater currently 40% off

One of my favorite bloggers Mary Katherine from Gold Hatted Lover made the comment yesterday on Instagram about only wanting to wear "festive casual" looks this season, and I could not agree with her more. I love the idea of dressing festive but not having to go "all out" with the look. Now don't get me wrong I am all for dressing up and throwing on a sparkly dress but sometimes I like the idea of just throwing on a red sweater and calling it a day.

This plaid blazer has been on repeat for me this holiday season. I have worn it three times throughout this week. (Whoops) I seriously just love it though it goes with pretty much everything. You can dress it up with a black dress and OTN boots. Or keep it pretty casual like I did with a turtleneck or sweater. My sweater is currently 40% off at Target. I sized up to get an over sized look. Im wearing a medium in the pictures above. But you could also stay true to size.

Thanks for stopping by have a good day!

Holiday look #1

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend. I for sure ate my weight in sweets and turkey.

This fall/ winter has been all about plaid scarfs. I swear I have one in every color. This red one is my favorite and will be great to wear during the holiday season. Now that Thanksgiving is over I feel that I can officially play Christmas music and burn Bath & Body Works holiday candles without breaking some unspoken law. My birthday is Saturday so I am headed up to Grand Haven for the weekend.

*Stay tuned this week for holiday outfit ideas and a few gift guides I have been working on.

Thanks for stopping by & Happy Holidays!

First snow fall

Similar purple coat // similar boots // similar hat // black shirt

It snowed this past weekend we got around 6-9 inches I think. I'm not really sure how much all I know is it was a lot haha.  I couldn't wait to pull this purple coat. I got it a couple weeks ago and the second I saw the snow fall I knew I would be pulling it out of the closet. The fur hood is my favorite!!

Once the snow falls it's so hard for me to resist the urge to start playing Christmas music and decorating. Even though Thanksgiving is not until this Thursday it already feels like Christmas to me outside.

I hope all of you had a great weekend. I went and saw the Hunger Games & other than that I pretty stayed inside watched movie and drank hot chocolate.

Thanks fro stopping by!
